Full DBS checks
Every team member, childcare, kitchen, cleaning, admin, is enhanced-DBS checked before they start, with ongoing re-checks as policy requires.
Safer Recruitment Policy
Our hiring follows the UK government's Safer Recruitment guidance, multiple references, reference checks verified directly with the employer, and probing interviews.
Dedicated Safeguarding Lead
Jo is our Designated Safeguarding Lead, with deputies trained and named. Every staff member knows who to escalate a concern to, immediately.
Full CCTV Coverage
Indoor and outdoor coverage across the setting. Recordings are retained to policy, accessed only by Jo, and never shared beyond the legitimate safeguarding purpose.
Secure Digital Entry
Authorised adults only. Your child is never handed to anyone not on your approved collection list, and the door doesn't open without staff verifying who's at it.
Ongoing Training
Every staff member completes annual safeguarding training plus refreshers on Prevent, FGM, whistleblowing, and online safety. Certificates kept and audited.
Every Childcare Staff Member is First-Aid Trained
All of our childcare team hold current paediatric first aid certification, renewed on a 3-year cycle. There is always a trained first-aider on site, in every room, at every moment of the day.
We stock age-appropriate first-aid supplies throughout the setting, keep detailed records of any incident (however minor), and share those records with parents the same day via the Famly app and handover.
