Our Experienced Room Teams

Every room at Mucky Pups Childcare has a consistent lead and dedicated key workers who stay with your child for the duration of their time in that room, so the trusted-adult bond is real and lasting.

Baby Room Lead

Our Baby Room Lead has specialist infant-care training and has been with Mucky Pups Childcare for years. Meet them in person at your tour.

Toddler Room Lead

EYFS-qualified and trained in Makaton signing. Ofsted specifically praised our sign-language work in their 2022 inspection.

Preschool Lead

Leads our phonics, early maths and school-readiness programme. Works directly with local primaries on transitions.

Leadership & Specialist Roles

A Team Built Around Your Child

Behind every room team is a layer of experienced leadership and specialist expertise — ensuring strong oversight, consistent standards, and dedicated support for every child in our care.

Deputy Manager

Our Deputy Manager supports the Nursery Manager in day-to-day operations, quality of care and staff development — ensuring the highest standards are upheld across every room.

Designated Safeguarding Lead

Our DSL holds overall responsibility for safeguarding across the nursery — overseeing child protection procedures, staff training and close liaison with external agencies to keep every child safe.

SENCO — Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator

Our dedicated SENCO works closely with families, room teams and external specialists to ensure every child with additional needs receives tailored, well-coordinated support from the moment they join us.

Outdoor Learning Lead

Our Outdoor Learning Lead plans and leads purposeful outdoor experiences — from garden exploration to nature play — giving children the freedom to learn, move and connect with the world around them.

Lead Practitioner

Our Lead Practitioners bring specialist knowledge and experience to their rooms — mentoring colleagues, leading on observations and planning, and ensuring every child's learning journey is rich and purposeful.

Professional Chef

Our in-house Professional Chef prepares fresh, nutritious meals and snacks every day using quality ingredients — supporting healthy development and giving parents confidence that their child eats well in our care.

Shared Standards Across Every Role

Fully DBS Checked

Every team member, including our kitchen, cleaning and admin staff, is DBS checked and reference checked under our Safer Recruitment Policy.

EYFS-Qualified

Our childcare staff hold Early Years qualifications at Level 2, Level 3 or higher, with continuous professional development built into their year.

Paediatric First Aid

All childcare staff are trained in paediatric first aid, renewed every three years. There is always a trained first-aider on site.
